Those are some very low scores 62-66. Congrats - was at the range a few minutes ago chatting with one of Burke's Harvard players.

Great work, guys. Congratulations on your fine play!
:salut:

Drew is not only a fine teacher but also good friend. Who is willing to share his knowledge and fellowship.

That was Renner's third 62 in the past two months in State Open competition. Thats how you win three state opens in a row. The last time I shot a 62 was...let me think...let me think...oh ya...that would be never. Well, there was that one time at Pitch n' Putt :) .

Thanks for the kind words Michael. We are all here for the same reason; to learn about this wonderful game and as you put it share some knowledge.

Drew our club is having some success. Our top 18 yr old won the Mass. Junior Amateur this pass week by 4 strokes. Our top college female lost in the final of the prestigious North South to the Australian Amateur Champion. She plans to join the futures tour after graduation next year. Neither is a TGM-er. My son is only a 3-4 strokes behind our top 18 yr old - at age 15. He is a TGM-er!

Very nice. With your influence, there is no telling how far your son can go.

Just Another State Open

After firing rounds of 65-64-129 (15 under), Jim Renner won the Maine State Open at the Riverside Golf Course and the first place prize of $10,000. Four State Opens for Jim in the last year. This Golfing Machine stuff really works :salut: .

Great Stuff. Congrats to both Jim Renner and Drew Chapman. Riverside is a course one can go low on.

I had a fantastic experience working there. I'm sure Jim enjoyed the hospitality and good fellowship, from the gang there. that I still miss.

Mike,

Jimmy Demaret was once asked by a talented young golfers if he had what it took to play on the PGA Tour. Demaret replied, "son, are you the best player in your state." The young golfer said, "no". "Well" said Demaret, "then If I were you, I wouldn't bother packing my bags."

Recently, Jim has suffered a few physical setbacks. Fortunately, though, he is the best in our state and a few others.

BTW, what is a Youtube, more of that modern day computer stuff that keeps us from practicing?
