Really Dumb Question
 

OK, I just know the answer is going to be obvious, and I will be exposing how stupid I really am... I've searched Google and can't find the answer.

In the Alignment Golf first DVD, VJ is demonstrating the left arm flying wedge, and they speak of a little arch in the left wrist for "insurance." OK, I get that.

He bends his wrist with a huge flip and says "I feel like this is Botcher Vance." Or some name to that effect. I don't get it? Any help so I get the joke will be appreciated.
