Hands leading the clubhead?
I was just wondering the reason for the hands to lead the clubhead into impact? Thanks.

The hands have to lead for a true 3 dimensional impact without a MAJOR compensation.
How can the clubhead be travelling down through impact with the hand not ahead of the club head? |
In the grocery store
We push the cart using our legs, knees and feet - using our hands only as sensors - and not by knocking it to random destinations by means of jerky wrist actions. In the better place Same thing. We use a heavy, deliberate accelerating action through the ball. Not a "fast" weak jerky action. If the Hands are behind as a reslut of a jerky wrist action, there will be no pressure on the inner part of the right hand index finger and thus no feedback to the Computer. |
Oh. And you can hit the ball without the hands leading the clubhead. And a long way! But if you do you have to forget about precision.

I believe "lag pressure" is a more generic and better reference than "hands leading the clubhead". Just a few weeks ago I watched a guy hitting drives over 400 yards (no wind - flat terrain) on my homecourse. Hitting up on the ball. I have footage & just need to get my act together to put them + obsvervations up. But the leftmost ball ended upp some 200 yards left of the rightmost, so although the length was amazing, the precision was not great. (Yes: The guy is a LD professional) |
Ahhh...the old driver hitting up debate! Look forward to the pics and observations.
