Just wanted you to know that I have officially been declared the Player of the Year for the Georgia Section of the PGA of America 2007. Unfortunately I lost my second round match in the Match Play Championship but I have never been very good in Match Play. I did however shoot 69 today to win the "losers" tournament.

Because of being named Player of the Year I get an exemption into the AT&T Classic at Sugarloaf next year, so I am looking forward to that.

This has been a blow-out year for Jeff. He began the new year shooting an even-par 288 in the cold and wind at the PGA of
America's Winter Series Stroke Play Championship, good for solo 3rd in a starting field of 240. He then shot 69 to win the Georgia PGA Section qualifier for the Nationwide Tour's South Georgia Classic, where he went on to shoot a 68 on opening day (T5) and make the cut.

He then won Low Pro honors at the Yamaha Atlanta Open; and made a hole-in-one on the last hole to shoot 66 and win the Georgia PGA's Griffin Classic. He finished T8 in the Georgia PGA Championship (after spending the prior week working with me at The Barclays and not on the golf course!). Finally, he capped the year with a victory in the Georgia Open.

Not bad for a guy with a day job! Great going, Jeff...we're proud of you!
