There's a lot to be learned in this short post . . . Matt . . . got any drills/suggestions on how to "get a good load on the shaft?" I would make a crude joke but this is such an important post . . . I shall let it be.

Thanks...here's what I think about (for Swinging):
First, I have mid-body hands at address. Then I feel a right forearm pickup with lagging clubhead takeaway (this is KEY!) Why is it key? Because the lagging clubhead takeaway gives you some momentum that facilicates lag loading. My hands get to the top first and then the clubhead. As my hands slow down at the top, the clubhead gets "thrown" into PP3. I catch this load on my right forefinger and start downplane again with my right shoulder. From there, my right shoulder moves back and downplane and drags the loaded clubhead with it.
Only recently have I found a set of swing keys that have yet to fail me. I can take 2 months off during the winter and get back into the swing of things in very, very little time. I have pivot thoughts and lag thoughts and the rest just happens. I always struggled with having my stroke feel different day-to-day but that is not the case anymore. It took a while, yes, but when you discover for yourself via trial and error what feels best for YOU...the complexity disappears and you're left wondering, "Can it really be this easy?"
