Every Saturday I play golf with my ole man and his friends. A few weeks ago I was on the range during a Friday and one of his friends said 'thank god you're here' and proceeded to tell me how bad he was struggling. He's about an 8 handicap, usually shoots in the low 80's and usually struggled with a hook. And boy was he struggling. Using a SW, he hit about 20 balls and hit every single one of them thinner than an anorexic super model. And the driver was real bad.
So I worked with him on some things and thought he would work better with a hitter pattern. Put the Taly on him for a second and explained the flat left wrist at impact and how you need to hit the ball first and then take the divot. He also works really well from impact fix and immediately improved, getting more scores in the mid 70's (he even told me he's now worried about his handicap lowering).
Anyway, today I went to practice and saw him and some of the other friends drinking a few beers in the restaurant and he told me he had a hole-in-one and said it was all thanks to the lesson and a bit of luck and everybody raved how he hit the irons great all day.
