Switch to hitting
I have been swinging for a couple of years now with all clubs with mixed success. With my woods lately I have been swinging with great success and can't be happier. I can't hit the ball much straighter or longer with my woods. However, I would like to try hitting with my irons. I have read where some tgm'ers hit their irons and swing their woods and thought this might be a good solution for me. I have a naturally slow start down with my irons and a tendency to accelerate hard, which I know is a hitter's move that doesn't mix with swinging . I use an SSA, regular overlap grip with a standard address swinging. What changes would be recommended to switch to hitting with my irons? Impact address? Baseball grip? Also, how difficult would it be to go to crossline hitting with a horizontal hinge? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
