Those that putt on an (1)INCLINED PLANE or ARC, and (2) those that putt UP AND DOWN THE LINE(PUTTING ALONG A BASEBOARD). The Loren Roberts type stroke is the one that looks to be INTENTIONAL STEERING to me. Scott Hoch is another that looks similar to this. This is obviously a WAY of putting that can work very well. Some of these players also probably HOOD the club. The ARC PUTTERS, like Jay Haas, are putting on an INCLINED PLANE, and should NOT Steer. The rules for them are very similar to a full golf stroke, except I believe that through the IMPACT INTERVAL the face should be SQUARE AT IMPACT rather than at SEPARATION.
