Hitting vs. Swinging training philosophies
Hi Vickie,

I was curious as to how your response would differ to being asked how to go about picking up 20 yards with the driver for a hitter or swinger. This question presumes the person is reasonably fit and flexible, no glaring weaknesses. Is swinging more about speed and hitting about power? Is hitting more like training a baseball player to increase their bat speed?

If this question has already been answered I would be grateful if someone could direct me.

Thanks,

Matt

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)
