Watch from 7:30 to 7:47: He says his angled hinge shot was lower than horizontal hinging... But if you go back to 5:00 he says "...it (angled) will go higher than horizontal." And...if you go to 6:38 he says "...that (horizontal) will hit the golf ball as low as this club can hit it." Then also go to 7:37 and listen to what he says: "...flight was lower than horizontal..."
