I didn't score well, today, and I am ok with it!

You see, I spent most of the day in the fairway, longer than ever with my drives.

Then a strange thing happened. I wound up nutting (2 clubs or longer) my second shots over lots of greens! Shot after shot over the flag or plugging in bunkers I usually never get too having been so short in the past!

1st hole - par
2nd hole - behind the hole, par 5, crushed my third shot two clubs past green (+2)
3rd hole - laid up and crushed the "putted chip " (contact is amazing) (+4)
4th hole - laid up on longest par four and crushed the wedge long (+5)
5th hole - GIR and got greedy for the birdy for a 3 putt (+6)
6th hole - two clubs behind the green with a 7 wood from 170 (normal club but I hit it 190 today!) (+
7th hole - two clubs over the green with a 5 wood 0n a 201 yard shot (+11)
8th hole - plugged in bunker over correcting (every sand trap is easy now but I need distance control when the ball lands) (+12)
9th hole - well, you get the picture....

So, what did I learn?

Any golfing idiot especially me, can shoot sub 90 by being short and straight. Or rather, hitting short weak blocks or as Lynn says "dying quails."

Shooting par, however, is about course management and saving strokes around the green BIG TIME! What I do have is a natural little draw that falls about 10 yards to the right, every single time. The draw is all through the bag!

With my new Flail, I fell powerful and Rhythmic and like I'm snapping a whip at the bottom of my Swing. I am in Balance after 95% of my shots but that's not Course Management.

On a shorter course like mine with smaller fairways and lots of mature trees and traps, their are a lot of Sucker Pins. So the longer drive is important and I did not hit any duck hooks today, not a single one! And all our holes are open from trouble on the right except # 9 White. We have several holes that have trouble along the right and learning a hide fade would be a sweet weapon.

Lynn explained to me that a pro makes his/her living by their Trajectory and that different Releases flight the ball differently. Lots to learn, there, but for now, I have to relearn my course and when pins are green or red with my basic ball flight. I have to re-learn ball positions and stances. Lots of work to do.

I started "putting chips" today, with some interesting results and my new putting stroke has my guys giving me putts I would not give me. Every stroke needs a Stationary Head, Balance and Rhythm.
