Did a search on "finish swivel" and so many threads come up that I'm taking the easy way out. My question is how do you practice the finish swivel? Acquired motion and then add some finish swivel? Hit tons of balls at full speed with your focus on the fs? It seems to be such an important bridge from the both-arms-straight position but it's not a subconscious motion for me yet with a tendancy to execute impact as a swivel on occasions with disasterous results. There is a different compression without the finish swivel. It's serviceable but not nearly as good. I know what the finish swivel is, and I can execute it all day at half speed. It's when things get ratcheted up to full-speed that it gets fuzzy and a bit random. For example, after not quite compressing the driver for a few holes today I put my focus on ensuring I performed a good finish swivel on the 9th tee box only to hit a rare pull-hook up against the left side fence. That miss is simply not something I do much but it becomes way more likely when I focus on the fs. If the answer is simply "practice it more" I can accept that, but if anyone has some suggestions or drills I'm all ears. Feel free to direct me to existing threads/posts if they exist. Thanks.
